Networking & Social Events

The Conway Center offers several enjoyable social interactions throughout the year that allow members to build strong relationships. We believe that some of the most productive experiences are created in less formal group settings where relationships can be built, ideas shared, and new opportunities hatched.

FAMILY BUSINESS SHOWCASE

The Conway Center hosts a variety of events to bring members together and build stronger connections between current and prospective members. A favorite event is the Family Business Showcase (formerly known as Family Business Tour). Every year, family businesses host this event to share what has made their business successful, how they operate, and what their plans are for the future.

On July 31, 2024, we received the full hospitality treatment with tours of the recently renovated High Line Car House in the Brewery District for the Together & Company Family Business Showcase.

Together & Company, a full-service catering and events company, began in 1997 as Two Caterers.  Angela Petro grew it to the complete hospitality company of today, going “all in” with John Petro joining the business just six months before the onset of the Covid pandemic. The Petros brand of vulnerability in storytelling reminds us of the importance of building for the future while allowing ourselves the space to pivot as needed.

Plans are underway to bring you more Family Business Showcases in 2025. Stay tuned!

Golf Outing

Our 10th annual Golf Outing was held at the Golf Club of Dublin on Monday, July 24, 2024. We had beautiful weather and a fantastic turnout of over 100 golfers - family business and service provider members playing together to raise funds for the Conway Center. Golfers enjoyed a golf scramble with a contest and refreshments from Conway Center advisory board members and Golf Club residents Suzanne Amstutz and Jim Bishop. A grilled lunch followed by an afternoon buffet reception with raffles and prizes capped off a wonderful day. THANK YOU to all the players, sponsors, supporters, and volunteers.

Mark your calendar for next year's outing as we return to the Golf Club of Dublin on Monday, June 23, 2025!

A full list of upcoming social and networking events can be found on the Upcoming Events tab.
