Event Description:
Is an ESOP Right for Your Company?
Employee Stock Ownership Plans (“ESOPs”) are a savvy succession planning tool that allows companies to remain independent by transitioning ownership to employees rather than a third-party buyer…all while creating business and financial advantages for selling shareholders, the company, and employees. But ESOPs are often overlooked and misunderstood. In this webinar, we will discuss:
- ESOP Crash Course (i.e., what is an ESOP and how does an ESOP work)
- Advantages and Disadvantages of ESOPs
- When Does an ESOP Make Sense (and when does it not make sense)?
- How ESOPs and Family-Owned Businesses Can Mix
- Getting Started: The ESOP exploration and implementation process
