Practical Tools For Managers - End Death by Discussion; Break the Habit of Not Solving Issues Most leadership teams are trapped in a recurring loop: discussing the same frustrations week after week without ever reaching a permanent resolution. When issues aren't solved at the root, they morph into cultural friction, stalled momentum, and ''meeting fatigue'' - challenges that can feel especially personal when family dynamics are involved. This session is designed to break that cycle. We are going deeper than the basics of Identify, Discuss, Solve (IDS) to explore the underlying people processes and cultural habits that keep issues spinning. You will learn how to build a fearless, friction-crushing team that attacks real challenges rather than just managing symptoms. ... read more

Growth is exciting, but for family-owned businesses, it’s rarely just a financial decision. Mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships can accelerate opportunity, expand market reach, and position a company for long-term sustainability. They can also introduce unexpected challenges around control, culture, and family dynamics. Join us for a conversation designed specifically for family firms navigating strategic growth decisions. Our panel will explore when acquisitions, mergers, or partnerships truly make sense, and when they don’t. We’ll dig into how families can balance opportunity with legacy, governance, and alignment across generations. We’ll also examine one of the most underestimated factors in any deal: culture. Why does cultural fit so often determine success or failure? And how can family businesses avoid common post-transaction pitfalls? Whether you’re actively considering a transaction or simply planning for the future, this session will offer thoughtful insight and practical takeaways to help you grow wisely and sustainably. ... read more

Exploring the Right Leadership Move for the Moment In family business, leadership isn’t one-size-fits-all. Sometimes you need to inspire. Sometimes you need to teach. Sometimes you need to train. And sometimes the most powerful move is to coach. The challenge is knowing which move the moment requires. In this interactive, peer-driven session, we’ll explore the Equipping Model — Inspire, Teach, Train, Coach — through a Conscious Leadership lens of 100% responsibility and curiosity. Feel welcome to bring a real leadership situation you’re navigating. It could be a struggling team member, a next-gen development moment, or a family dynamic that feels stuck. Together, we’ll workshop some live examples and identify the most effective leadership approach. You’ll leave with: > Clear distinctions between inspiring, teaching, training, and coaching > Practical language you can use immediately to expand your coaching skills > Insight and support from women who understand the complexity of family business. Come ready to share, laugh a little, and leave with practical tools you can put to work right away. ... read more

Artificial intelligence is no longer something family businesses can afford to observe from the sidelines. It is reshaping workflows, margins, talent models, governance expectations, and ultimately enterprise value. But knowing AI matters and knowing what to do about it are two very different things. In this practical, executive-level session, Ryan Frederick with Transform Labs will move beyond hype and headlines to outline the concrete steps family businesses can take to thoughtfully design their organizations for the AI era. Rather than focusing on isolated tools or experiments, this session will explore how to integrate AI into operating models, decision-making structures, and long-term strategy. ... read more
