Programs

The Conway Center for Family Business provides highly relevant, topical and original programming that helps members learn, stay informed and share experiences with their peers. These family-focused educational programs are unique to the Center and cannot be found anywhere else in Central Ohio.

In addition, we offer enjoyable social interactions that allow members to build strong relationships. We believe that some of the most productive experiences are created in less formal, group settings where relationships can be built, ideas shared and new opportunities hatched.

Just some of these activities include our annual Family Business Awards & Expo, Monthly Educational Programs, numerous group Educational Opportunities, and Networking and Social Events, Please explore our Events Calendar below for topics that will help you solve your family business challenges.

Most family businesses treat strategy as an event — a once-a-year offsite, a binder that gets filed away, a conversation that resurfaces only when something goes wrong. But strategy isn't a document. It's a discipline. And like any muscle, it atrophies without regular use. In this practical session, Brian Zuercher, Co-Founder of Northbound Group, will show family business leaders how to move strategic thinking out of the annual retreat and into the regular rhythm of running the company. Rather than another framework to file away, this session will focus on building the habits, cadence, and decision-making structures that keep strategy alive between offsites — so it actually shapes what the business does next. Attendees will learn how to: Shift strategy from an annual event to an ongoing leadership discipline. Build a simple cadence for revisiting and adjusting strategic priorities throughout the year. Involve the right mix of family and non-family leaders in strategic conversations without losing speed or alignment. Turn strategic intent into decisions the team can actually execute — not just talk about. ... read more

Drawing from decades of hands-on experience applying validated scientific assessments and diagnostic tools with leaders, John will share practical strategies to cultivate deeper self-awareness. Attendees will discover proven tools for enhancing emotional intelligence, enabling them to better adapt to workplace challenges, respond more effectively, and show up as more impactful, supportive leaders. ... read more
